Monday weigh in

Ok, so after my first week back I do have to say I was shocked to step on the scales this morning and see that I have lost 1.4lbs! I am still learning on how to get back in the habit of eating healthy and working out. This last week I did not work out once! As far as eating healthy I did ok, but not great! It was my daughters 5th birthday and for a week we had all sorts of different sweets in the house. From home made rice crispy treat cake to cookies and cup cakes! I wish I could say I was strong and stayed away from all of those things, but I was not. I sampled ate every one of those things. So now you can see my shock as I did step on the scale and see a loss! I am really pumped for this week as I know I can lose more since I will not be stuffin my face full of all that junk!

I want to say Thank you to all my followers for your support as I come back to this. And to all my followers that are going through the same thing as me, I know we can do this together!

I am currently trying to think of a new name for my blog as I clearly will not hit my 40 week/280 mark I wanted. However I still like the goal and concept :-). I will keep you all posted with any ideas I can think of.

I built my blog and my goals around not just dieting but transforming to a new and healthier person. I want to feel good about myself inside and out. For a period of time there I was getting this feeling. Sure I was still over weight but the feeling of losing weight, the feeling of eating healthier brought so much energy in me and my self confidence was so much better.I do not want to lose that again! So as I attempt to blog daily if I miss a day please know I am still trying to get in the habits again :-)

My husband are trying to plan a get-a-way for the end of february begining of March. I think after all we have been through we need some time to refocus on eachother and our relationship. We are hoping to fly/drive to New orleans and celebrate a lil Mardi gras and then hop on a cruis either out of New orleans or Alabama. we will be on a cruise for a few days and then back in New Orleans for more fun, and then home. We are in the begininng stages of planning it but I am super excited about it! It will be an early B-Day present for me! However I want to be feeling good for the cruise so I am all in on eating healthier so I can fell and look good by then!

Ok, I am off for now as I need to do some cleaning around my house...*bleh.

Have a wonderful day!

Mmm rice crispie cake

Ok..I did horrible tonight! The title should say it all...but tomorrow I am going to go back to my old habits of using sparkpeople.com and tracking everything I eat! Need to get these calories under control!

Ok, so here are a few pics of me. nothing to exciting just an updated look of myself. Now I do have to say, ignore the pale face and horrible make up...it is new and not workin for me..LOL...Oh and Matt helped pick the color...Last time I let him do that. LOL

Ok, I am off for tonight. You all have a wonderful night! I will be back tomorrow.

Back in the babit

Ok, so I forgot to post last night...thanks Swans for reminding me! I need to get back into the habit of so many things! One would be the habit of writing a blog again. the other is my good eating habits.

Yesterday was an ok day, however I forgot 1/2 way through the day to track my calories and I started to munch out of habit. I did still try to manage what I ate and portion control, so hopefully today will be a little better. Today however is my daughters 5th Birthday and the temptation of cakes and cookies are hard for me this early in the stage. wish me luck for some will power.

I will try to blog tonight with an update of today and how the party went.

New Year, New Start

Hello everyone! Yes I know I have been gone for a little while. My life has been very very hectic. For a lil over a month I was separated from My husband and dealin with Financial stress. I am happy to say some things have settled down over the last month and my wonderful husband and I are back together and we are trying to get our finances under control. With the new year I am back to blogging and eating healthier. I gained 14lbs through November and December, I am happy though because it could have been a lot worse. I was not watching anything that I ate or cared what I ate. I went back to all my old habits and totally undid all the work I had worked months on. Starting today I am back to counting calories and working out, but more or less being more mindful of the food I put in my body. This blog is going to be a bit of a short blog as I am hoping to re blog tonight about my first day back! Hope this finds all my readers well, and you all have a wonderful glorious day!

Back to the Basics

Well Hello fellow bloggers! I know it has been a very very very long time since my last blog. I just got caught up in other things and failed to make blogging my priority. Little did I know that eventually not blogging would hurt me. Blogging daily made it where I had to take responsibility for my actions and helped jeep me accountable for everything I did. I slowly stopped blogging and when that happened all of my good habits I had also slowly went away. I haven't been doing horrible but it hasn't been all that great either. This Friday was my very first gain and that's what made me realize I was doing something wrong.

So this is where I am at....Starting tomorrow I am going back to the basics. I will be counting all my calories again and tracking all my work outs. With all of this I will also be blogging daily again. I feel that this is one way to get me back on track to where I was.

I look forward to spending more time blogging and catching up with you all. Right now I need support from my blogger family :-).

For now I will leave you with an updated pic of me and my progress so far.

Till tomorrow, have a wonderful day.

Working out

So I realized I have become quite lazy when it comes to my work out routine. My mind has not been focused on me right now. I am completely focused with everything else that Life has thrown at our family. I hate how it's so easy to break your routine and good habits. For a whole week, actually 10 days Matt was off work and our focus was our house and trying to get it painted and such. For those whole 10 days my work out routine and my daily routine as a stay at home mom was thrown off. This week I have been trying to get back on track but I have struggled so much! Now I focusing on hundreds of other things and not putting the effort in to my work outs. I have/had forgotten how addicting working out is. Thanks to Kyoko over at ...like a fat kids like cake Reminded me tonight on my facebook that it is addicting and that that I may just need to go work out to remind myself. Well since it is 12:30am I won't be working out tonight but thinking about it has got me wanting to go tomorrow as soon as Matt gets home. Hopefully i can get back into my routine starting tomorrow and I will still have a decent weigh in this Friday.

Ok, well, honestly that's all I got for tonight. My brain is shutting off as it is late. You all have a wonderful night!

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Hello fellow bloggers! Oh how I miss you all! I have not blogged in over 2 weeks!  I have not even signed in to blogger in 2 weeks! So much has happend and life has been a little busy. For tonight I have decided to put everything on hold and write though. I need some me time and some time to put a lot of thoughts in to words. Do you ever have those days? I have had so many the last few weeks but just have not forced my self to take the time to do this. A Lot has to do with I am being accused of spending to much time on the computer so I know sometimes when I blogged I would write for a longer period of time and did not want to add to the problem at hand. Tonight I don't care, I am blogging!

So In one of my last few posts I talked about my puzzle pieces fitting together. And how I like to have a happy soul. Well Hummmm Where do I start! LOL.
You know when you are working on a puzzle and you are struggling to find the next piece? When you think you found that correct piece you get all excited. Then when you go to place that piece down to find out it was the wrong piece you are disappointed. Well that is where I am, I was very excited to see how all my pieces were fitting together but now I am very disapointed to see that none of them fit. This has not made me want to give up though. Honestly it has made me want to look harder for the correct pieces.  I love putting effort in to something to find out that it was worth it. I use this in my weight loss also. People can not just sit on a couch and eat potato chips and lose weight. You have to put some effort in to it. Now some people have to put a little more effort into it then others but either way it is still effort.

So As the last few weeks Have gone by I have still been trying to eat healthy and work out. I have lost a total of 32.9lbs and I am very happy about this. This last Friday I only lost another .2lbs but I am still very happy about it  and the fact it was a loss and not a gain. This last 10 days Matt has been on "Vacation" and has thrown my whole routine off. It has been nice to spend time with him but I will be happy to get back to my normal routine and hopefully start to feel a little better about myself and my weight loss.   However since Matt was off we have had a great chance to work on our basement and starting the process of getting it finished. As with any remodel there is some stress that comes with it and that has happened, but I am thinking we have overcome most of it and are at the point we are moving on.

Another plus of Matt being home is we have tried a few new foods/dinners. I really like making our dinners with fresh foods and the taste is amazing!  Here are a few pics of what we have made (btw my date is completely wrong on my camera, and I have tried to fix it but it reverts back).
Asian Pork & Noodle Skillet
Orecchiette w/Spinach, sausage & Tomatoes
Spanish-Style Stuffed mushrooms
Spanish-Style Stuffed peppers

The peppers and mushrooms we made the same night. The recipe called for just stuffed peppers but I am not a bell pepper person at all so I decided to do mushrooms and bell peppers. However that night I ate both and LOVED both of them. This is a first for me. I actually ate something with bell peppers in it that I liked. Not only did it have bell peppers in it but It was the bell pepper. Very yummy and I recommend all the meals. And for the few friends I have that are not meat eaters the stuffed mushrooms and peppers did not have meat and both pastas I think you could make meatless...however the Asian dish would then just be glorified ramen noodles. The seasoning you use with the pork and the pork helps make that dish. We are also going to be making is Dijion-Crusted Halibut and roasted Asparagus. It looks like a very yummy dish also. We did try Mexican chicken lasagna but forgot to take pictures and honestly it was nothing but chicken enchiladas, lol.

Ok everyone, I am off but I will try very hard to blog more. But for tonight I need to try to get some rest as we have been up late almost every night the last few weeks. Looking forward to my normal routine again. Have a great night everyone!
